Six weeks into a season usually means you are the team you are and if that is the case for the Denver Broncos it's not looking pretty on offense. At 31st in both passing and rushing yards per attempt is not exactly going to win any Super Bowls, unless you have a defense that is ranked third overall or better in every important defensive statistic.
The question is, can this style of play take down a contender people outside of Denver actually believe in? I think it is, because the Broncos offense isn't as bad as the stats suggest, but its not going to be anything like that 2013 offense was. Still, with the hype and motivation to pay at home, the Broncos players have every reason to come together for a win over a tough Green Bay Packers opponent.
What I'd like to see most from the Broncos tonight is a commitment to the running game, with both Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson teaming up to grind the Packers defense up. Let Peyton Manning focus on picking up third downs and possibly red zone touchdowns. From there, it's all about that Orange Crush defense giving Aaron Rodgers a little of that No Fly Zone.
Prediction: Broncos 27, Packers 17
