The Buffalo Bills rank fairly well across the board, but their penchant to commit copious amounts of penalties has really hurt them in the win column this year. With Rex Ryan returning home to the Big Apple, you have to believe this game means something a bit more to him than a normal one.
On paper, it appears the New York Jets are built to strop the Bills offense. However, that vaunted Jets pass defense has been absolutely torched for three straight weeks now. Giving up 355 yards to Tom Brady, then 333 yards to Derek Carr and just four days ago 381 yards to Blake Bortles. That is a lot of yards for a defense that is supposedly elite in the secondary.
Given those trends, I'm going with the Bills here. I think Tyrod Taylor is going to have a really good game and the Bills are going to keep the secondary shredding trend going against the Jets here. It'll end up being closer than it seems, but the Bills hold on for the win to take over second place in the AFC East.
Prediction: Bills 27, Jets 23
