Broncos vs. Chiefs injury report: Sanders misses practice and is a game-time decision for Sunday's game

Here is your Friday Injury report for the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

For the third straight day, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders missed practice with an apparent ankle injury. He is listed as questionable for Sunday afternoon's game against the division rival Kansas City Chiefs. According to Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com, Sanders will be a game-time decision on Sunday.

Head Coach Gary Kubiak didn't sound too optimistic about Sanders after today's practice.

"I would say that I thought that there would be a little bit more today, but he came out, he did some of the early work with us and was really sore. We just said, 'Hey, you know, let's give it another day.' We'll check him tomorrow morning, see how he's doing. It's probably going to be a game-time decision. We know it's bothering him, but we'll see. We'll see if he can get there."

If Sanders misses Sunday's game look for veterans Jordan Norwood(Probable for Sunday's game), and Andre Caldwell to pick up the slack. Also look for youngsters Bennie Fowler and Cody Latimer to possibly get some time as well.

The news on rookie linebacker Shane Ray was much more positive. He put in a full practice on Sunday and is listed as probable for Sunday's game. Look for Ray to be active and helping teammate Shaquil Barrett replace veteran DeMarcus Ware(out with a back injury) in the starting lineup.

Head Coach Gary Kubiak called Ray being healthy for this weekend's game a "blessing".

"He's fine. He's good. He was full-go today. He's had a really good week. That's kind of a blessing for us because we didn't know if he was going to be able to get there this week, but he's been fine. He's ready to go. We'll play them all, and you may even see Kenny a little bit. We need them all."

Quarterback Peyton Manning did not put in a "full" practice this week because he's dealing with a foot injury. Manning is listed as probable and will be under center for the Broncos on Sunday.

Kubiak didn't sound too concerned about Manning.

"He did everything. He took his full Friday. He looked good, threw the ball around good and moved good. He had a good day."

As for the Chiefs, guard Ben Grubbs and defensive end Allen Bailey are listed as out for Sunday's game. Linebacker Ramik Wilson is questionable with an ankle injury. Linebacker Tamba Hali and tight end Travis Kelce are listed as probable and will be active for Sunday's game.

Update Nov. 14: Peyton Manning is listed as Probable with a rib cage and foot now. The rib cage designation is new.
