The Denver Broncos opened as three-point favorites against the Chicago Bears in Chicago for Week 11. That quickly changed. The Broncos and Bears are either a pick-em game or show the Bears as one-point favorites, depending on which sportsbook you read, according to the latest NFL odds.
The shift probably had a whole lot to do with the massive news around Peyton Manning being benched and Brock Osweiler starting in his place. It will be Osweiler's first career start; it may be the first of more to come. That depends on Manning's health, but head coach Gary Kubiak wouldn't speculate about anything beyond Week 11.
"We're all in this week," Kubiak said Monday. "I haven't gone past today, I can tell you that. We'll deal with everything today. We move forward. We know how we're going. We've got to be all in on Chicago throughout the course of this week. That's all that matters."
The Broncos will face familiar faces on the opposite sidelines - Chicago Bears head coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Adam Gase each held the same respective positions with the Broncos from 2013-2014, and Fox had been Broncos head coach since 2011.
Not even those coaches probably know what to expect from an NFL offense led by Brock Osweiler. That uncertainty has led to a shift in the odds and an underdog status for the Denver Broncos.
