Before the season started, most of us looked at this game on the schedule and thought it was going to be the worst prime time game ever scheduled. For the most part, that belief didn't come true. It's still going to be a bore with two teams scraping the bottom of the worst division in the NFL.
However, both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans appear to be trending in the right direction in the longer term. Blake Bortles has himself a plethora of offensive weapons to choose from, which might just catapult this team into playoff contenders in 2016. If the young upstart team can take that next step.
Meanwhile, the Titans have Marcus Mariota who has been rather remarkable when healthy. He already has two games where he has thrown for four touchdowns and no interceptions, which for a rookie is pretty astounding.
Given these things, I'm expecting a bit of an exciting game tonight. Both teams are fairly evenly matches overall, but I'm giving the edge to the Jaguars who seem to be about a year further along in the rebuilding process than the Titans.
Prediction: Jaguars 24, Titans 20
