After the Broncos squeaked by the Browns in week six, I was nervous looking toward the Packers game on Sunday night. Vegas had Denver as underdogs, fans were calling for Manning's head, and Kubiak's offense was under fire. Despite pleas for fans and critics to R-E-L-A-X, many were expecting the worst Sunday night, me included.
Sometimes it's hard to hear people when they're telling you to calm down.
What happened Sunday was nothing short of incredible and it couldn't have happened on a more special night. Broncos owner Pat Bowlen went into the the Ring-of-Fame and there was no shortage of Broncos greats on-hand to welcome him to football immortality. I was especially pleased to see Floyd Little and who I think was Lionel Taylor there. These men never played for Bowlen, but knew the importance of being there and that was special, indeed.
Mr. B has been the greatest owner in sports and without him, the Denver Broncos would not be the team that we know and love. Last night's 29-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers was the best tribute to his legacy possible, and it made an already special evening even more amazing.
Here's to you, Mr. B!
