The Denver Broncos added veteran QB depth on Wednesday with Peyton Manning in a walking boot/cast and expected to miss at least two weeks. Former Minnesota Vikings quaterback Christian Ponder will be the latest (backup) signal-caller to wear the orange and blue.

Ponder underwhelmed with the Vikings, throwing 38 touchdowns to 36 interceptions in 36 career starts. Presumably Ponder will serve as QB #3, usurping rookie Trevor Siemian on the depth chart, despite Siemian's impressive training camp and preseason.
According to 9NEWS' Mike Klis, Kenny Anunike will be placed on season-ending Injured Reserve to make room for Ponder.
Ponder will wear No. 2 for the Broncos (number 7 is, uh, not available - something he reportedly knows well).
