Broncos vs. Patriots injury report: Emmanuel Sanders is probable, and Danny Amendola is questionable

Here's your Friday injury report for the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders put in a full day of practice on Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday night's game against the Patriots. This will give Brock Osweiler all his weapons as he prepares to take on the tough New England defense.

Sanders says he is feeling good and healthy for Sunday's game.

"I'm good. My ankle feels good. I practiced all week. I started off on Wednesday and finally got a full week under my belt. It felt good to do that. I think that I'm mentally and physically prepared for the game."

The news isn't as good for guard Evan Mathis. He injured his ankle late in the game last week and missed two practices this week before putting in a limited practice on Friday.

After practice, Denver Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak said that Evan Mathis would be a game-time decision on Sunday night.

"He looked good. I need to go back and take a peek. Max has had a good week. I think it's a game-time decision with Evan. We'll probably work him out before the game, but he's made up a lot of ground. He started slow with the week and ended the week pretty well, so we'll see."

If Mathis is held out, look for rookie guard Max Garcia to get the start in his place. Garcia has played in place of Mathis and right Guard Louis Vasquez at times this season, so coach Kubiak has plenty of confidence in his young rookie.

"You know what, I have a lot of confidence in him. He's kind of a lot like Brock in a lot of ways. He's been working really hard. I know he's a first-year player, but if you go back, remember there was a time where Max was a starter for us near the end of camp. Then we got Evan and now Max has played a lot of football at various places, so I think that there is some experience there. This would be a tough assignment to draw with his first start, but he's been working really hard to do it and he's had a good week of practice."

Defensive end Vance Walker missed last week's game against the Chicago Bears but is probable and expected to play against the Patriots.

Linebacker DeMarcus Ware was officially ruled out by Kubiak today. This means that linebacker Shaquil Barrett, and rookie linebacker Shane Ray will once again play in his place.

As for the Patriots, it looks like they will be without wide receiver Danny Amendola. There are reports out of New England indicating that Amendola is out for Sunday night's game, and he might not even travel with the team.

If this is the case, that will leave the Patriots without receiver Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, and Aaron Dobson. That leaves veteran Brandon LaFell, journeyman Keyshawn Martin, and Chris Harper at receiver.

Linebacker Jamie Collins has missed the past month with an illness, and it looks like he will miss another game this Sunday. The talented linebacker is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game.
