The perfect lineup in standard scoring in week 9 would have looked like this:
Cam Newton (30 standard points)*, Thomas Rawls (36), Doug Martin (23), DeAndre Hopkins (23), J.J. Nelson (20), James Jones (18), Kyle Rudolph (16), Mason Crosby (22), Buccaneers D/ST (17).
Those asterisks next to the (scores) are players that this column recommended as plays last week. And wow, sorry about that, my friends. I even had James Jones as an avoid last week... My average on the season per-week is 138 points in my recommended vs. perfect lineup. This 30 points might as well have been a goose egg, let's hope that it didn't put the ring in jeopardy.
My shiesty pick likely took over your flex and if he didn't then you took my other recommendation. However, I killed it in the sleepers pile (except with tight ends), check that out below.
My sleepers for you last week:
Matt Hasselbeck (12), Marcus Mariota (17), Brock Osweiler (18), Mark Sanchez (13), Case Keenum (insanity pick 5), Darren Sproles (11), C.J. Anderson (6), Alfred Blue (14), Shaun Draughn (insanity pick 7), Devin Funchess (12), Chris Givens (2), Jordan Matthews (1), Danny Amendola (11), Doug Baldwin (8), Dontrelle Inman (5), Anquan Boldin (9), John Brown (10), Cecil Shorts (11), Cody Latimer (insanity pick 8), Eric Ebron (0), Charles Clay (1), Jacob Tamme (1), Crockett Gillmore (10) 'This is insane': Zach Ertz (insanity pick 1), Nick Novak (8), New York Jets (2).
If you pulled off waiver wire insertions of Osweiler, Sproles, Draughn, Amendola, Shorts, Funchess, Gillmore you likely won off of the waiver wire again this week.
I have no idea what I am doing...

Both my defense and my kicker are 'insanes' this week by the way. However, they have great match-ups.
Get called shiesty this Monday and Tuesday:
The object of a shiesty is to pick up the guy on Saturday or Sunday, play him or not, but just make sure that you have him on your roster. This way during the games on Sunday or the next day on Monday someone in your league will think they're being slick and boom! He's not there, he's on your roster and he's available for DeAndre Hopkins or Devonta Freeman.
OK, so what had happened was... I recommended Eric Ebron (but pulled the recommendation due to how heavily owned he was) making Darren Sproles (technically shiesty-able at 40% owned) and he did well for you, then I dug very deep with Brian Quik and man was that a bad, bad recommendation. Though Case Keenum falling on his face proves that Gary Kubiak can win or at least scare really good teams football with basically anyone at quarterback.
My shiesty this week is Jamarcus Nelson (he is known as J.J. Nelson, but you will find him in your leagues under Jamarcus Nelson) wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. Nelson came on for the injured Michael Floyd last week and basically did what Floyd does when he plays, that being 4 catches on 6 targets 142 yards and a touchdown. I didn't go to Math school, but that's 35.5 yards per catch.
Daily Fantasy:
What fun is FanDuel if you don't get the satisfaction of grabbing someone on the cheap and watching him light up your scoreboard and wallet?
Go with these guys:
QB - Tom Brady, Blake Bortles, Russell Wilson, Brian Hoyer, Marcus Mariota, Eli Manning, Josh McCown, Carson Palmer, Drew Brees
RB - Adrian Peterson, Tevin Coleman, Doug Martin, Thomas Rawls, Mark Ingram, Todd Gurley, Spencer Ware, T.J. Yeldon, Chris Johnson, LeSean McCoy, Lamar Miller, DeAngelo Williams, Javorius Allen, Chris Ivory, Shaun Draun, Matt Forte, Latavius Murray, Frank Gore, Alfred Blue, LeGarrette Blount
WR - Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Odell Beckham, Antonio Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Demaryius Thomas, Jarvis Landry, Brandon Marshall, Allen Robinson, Mike Evans, Michael Crabtree, Brandon LaFell, A.J. Green, Amari Cooper, Kamar Aiken, Travis Benjamin, Steve Johnson, Sammy Watkins.
TE - Rob Gronkowski, Delanie Walker, Jordan Reed, Travis Kelce, Tyler Eifert, Jimmy Graham, Antonio Gates, Gary Barnidge
Avoid these guys:
QB - Blaine Gabbert, Case Keenum, Teddy Bridgewater, Matt Hasselbeck, Alex Smith
RB - Jonathan Grimes, C.J. Spiller, Ahmad Bradshaw, James White, Isaiah Crowell, Bilal Powell, Dexter McCluster
WR - Marvin Jones, Donte Moncrief, Robert Woods, Rueben Randle, Mike Wallace, Roddy White, Tyler Lockett
TE - Owen Daniels, Jared Cook, Charles Clay, Jordan Cameron, Will Tye, Vernon Davis, Vance McDonald
Side note: A Brian Hoyer/DeAndre Hopkins stack should hopefully win you millions.
Broncos players:
These are Brock Osweiler's targets since he replaced Peyton Manning 5 quarters ago: Demaryius Thomas 15, Vernon Davis 9, Owen Daniels 8, Cody Latimer 6, Andre Caldwell & Bennie Fowler 3, C.J. Anderson & Ronnie Hillman 2. I recommended Osweiler last week and I will not be recommending him this week. He gets Emmanuel Sanders as a receiver for the first time in his career, which should eat into Davis, Daniels and Latimer's catches, but I don't know that it will improve Osweiler's numbers.
In 1988 you may have won your fantasy football league with those kind of numbers.
Osweiler had a 48-yard touchdown pass on a blown coverage to Thomas, you pull that one play away and Osweiler went 19 of 26 for one touchdown and 202 yards. No one is happy about that in fantasy, though in 1988 you may have won your fantasy football league with those kind of numbers.
DT is a good play this week though, but I'd only recommend him in league play, he has blown up the New England Patriots in the past. He looks to draw Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler or he will be double teamed with safety help, Butler has allowed 44 receptions from 77 targets for 691 yards, 5 touchdowns, 1 interception and 10 pass deflections (according to our friends at ProFootballFocus).
I'd give Sanders a week if you can, but you likely can't, so of course play him. Keep in mind that he has not caught a pass since week 9. Sanders presence will cut into, if not cut off the time that Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell were on the field.
Expect the tight end firm of Daniels and Davis to maintain similar numbers, one thing to keep in mind about Davis is that he is quick! Davis actually ran a faster 40-yard dash at the combine than Sanders, Davis ran a 4.38.
I think that it is safe to trust Ronnie Hillman against the Patriots breakable run defense. New England is giving up an average of 12.2 points to fantasy running backs over the last 4 weeks (and are the 8th best run defense in that time span).
Start Brandon McManus and the Broncos defense/special teams.
That's an incredible amount of targets for Demaryius Thomas, especially if you consider that Osweiler basically only played a quarter. Keep in mind that at that point Emmanuel Sanders was out with an injury. I'd say if you're at the point where you're considering playing Osweiler as your quarterback you should go for it. ... I also have a feeling that Osweiler may differ to his comfort blanket (Latimer) and that is why I gave Latimer an 'insane' tag in my sleeper rankings. I'd bet on Latimer scoring a touchdown.
My craziest Daily Fantasy Sports lineup this week:
Brian Hoyer, Doug Martin, Spencer Ware, DeAndre Hopkins, Odell Beckham, Jemarcus Nelson, Gary Barnidge, Josh Lambo, Kansas City Chiefs D/ST.
