These late games have the potential to be a snooze fest, but there is one matchup that could at least be a little interesting to watch as we wait for Sunday Night Football to arrive. At the very least, both games feature three playoff caliber teams and one dumpster fire team.
The easy pick this afternoon was taking the Arizona Cardinals to beat down the San Francisco 49ers. If you don't live in California like I do, then you may not realize how bad it has gotten for this Bay Area team. The front office is consistently leaking reports on Colin Kaepernick that cast the quarterback in a very negative light. Basically, using him as a scapegoat for all of the things that have gone wrong for the franchise. I'm sure once he's gone, they'll be back in the Super Bowl. (Ha!)
The premier matchup this afternoon is the Pittsburgh Steelers heading to the northwest to fact the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks defense has quietly put itself back into the top 3 in the NFL in many different categories, so I won't be sleeping on them anymore. The Steelers have the offensive weapons to put points on the board, so this could be a prelude to the offense versus defense matchup we're going to see later tonight with the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots. I'm picking the Seahawks here, but I wouldn't be sad if the Steelers break their hearts.
Who are you rooting for in these late games?
