According to my Yahoo Pick'em league, I picked up ten out of fourteen last week. Not too shabby. With the Cincinnati Bengals mopping the floor with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football, most of us are sitting pretty at 1-0 entering the first set of games today.
With Tyrod Taylor back in the lineup, I think the Buffalo Bills get back to their winning ways this week against a Miami Dolphins team that is coming off a shellacking in Foxborough last week. Speaking of shellackings, I do think Aaron Rodgers comes back this week with a monster performance to life his Green Bay Packers over undefeated Carolina Panthers.
I also took the Minnesota Vikings to eek out a home win over the visiting St. Louis Rams, while the New England Patriots will likely curb stomp the Washington Redskins. I also don't see how the Tennessee Titans will overcome the Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. The New York Jets defense should be able to keep the Jacksonville Jaguars in check as well.
That leaves what I think is the premier matchup of these early games for Broncos fans. It's the surprising 4-3 Oakland Raiders with a tough road test against the 4-4 Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm predicting an offensive game, with the Steelers pulling out a late win to regain the upper hand for one of those AFC Wild Card spots.
Who are you rooting for in these early games?
