If there was one game I was rooting the most for (outside of the Broncos) it is for these Philadelphia Eagles to destroy the Dallas Cowboys. With news breaking this week showing what Greg Hardy did to his ex-girlfriend, I don't see how anyone could root for the Cowboys here, especially after Jerry Jones immediately issues a statement of support for the woman abuser. Note: A quick warning here as the photos in those links are quite disturbing.

Jones went on the offensive in support of Hardy in a statement saying, "While we did not have access to the photos that became public today, we were and are aware of the serious nature of this incident. We as an organization take this very seriously. We do not condone domestic violence. We entered into the agreement with Greg fully understanding that there would be scrutiny and criticism. We have given Greg a second chance. He is a member of our team and someone who is grateful for the opportunity he has been given to move forward with his life and his career."

This kind of stuff hit home pretty good as my own wife was a victim of domestic violence in a relationship previous to ours. As a lifelong Cowboys fan, she has completely disowned the sport. The NFL should not take that kind of reaction lightly as domestic violence is more prevalent in America than we'd all like to admit.

So with all that in mind, I'm hoping for a major Eagles curb stomping of the Cowboys as ole Mr. Jones watches from his suite. And if I weren't all emotionally outraged here, I'd think the Eagles should win anyway. The Cowboys have not won a single game since Tony Romo went down and the Eagles have been at least competitive in recent weeks.

Prediction: Eagles 34, Cowboys 13

What is your prediction, Broncos Country?
