The San Diego Chargers lost Keenan Allen for the year, but Philip Rivers has been throwing the ball to pretty much everyone this year. The Chicago Bears will have a tough time stopping him, but all they need to do is hold Rivers out of the end zone, which is an area where he has struggled in 2015.
For the Bears, they will need to find a running game without Matt Forte, but the Chargers run defense is Swiss cheese. Jay Cutler will need to find Alshon Jeffery in the end zone to have a chance to win this game late. In a matchup against two fairly bad football teams, it really is anyone's game.
I'll give the edge to the Chargers here, purely based on the overall quarterback play this season. Cutler, as usual, shows sparks of elite play, but Rivers has clearly outperformed him through half the season thus far. I still think it will be a close football game, but somehow the Chargers will begin their typical midseason streak of wins tonight.
Prediction: Chargers 30, Bears 27
