Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was given a "rest day" by the Broncos coaches today. So there probably isn't too much to see here. The Broncos are in the final stretch of the 2015 season and they are giving their offensive playmakers a day off. He will be back at practice tomorrow.
Running back C.J. Anderson returned to practice today on a limited basis after basically sitting out Sunday's game, and missing Wednesday's practice.
Anderson told reporters after practice that his ankle is "fine" and that he is ready to go. This is a good sign for the Broncos offense that struggled to run the ball without Anderson on Sunday.
Safety Darien Stewart missed Thursday's practice but Head Coach Gary Kubiak believes he will practice on Friday. With the Broncos really hurting at safety, Stewart's status will be something to monitor.
Defensive end Malik Jackson missed today's practice because he is becoming a father. So let's congratulate Jackson and his family on their addition to their family.
Quarterback Peyton Manning continued to see work with the scout team today. Kubiak said Manning saw "a few more periods today" and that he was "looking good".
Also returning to practice on a limited basis was tight end Owen Daniels and Evan Mathis. Both players are veterans and are just being eased into action this week.
Wide receiver Cody Latimer was a full participant today after being limited with a hamstring injury on Wednesday. Linebacker Danny Trevathan put in a full practice for the first time since being cleared from the concussion protocol.
Linebackers Todd Davis and Lerentee McCray both continued to miss practice today. It will be interesting to see if they will return for Friday's practice.
