According to the Denver Posts Troy Renck, the Denver Broncos appear to be the frontrunners for tight end Virgil Green.

Last night CBS's NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported that Green was reportedly choosing between the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos. Today Renck is saying that Green is close to deciding which team he wants to play for in 2015 and that the Broncos are the frontrunners for his services.
According to Renck, the Broncos want to re-sign Green before Free Agency officially begins at 4p.m. ET.
Denver Broncos General Manager John Elway viewed Green as a priority this offseason after they decided to move on from tight end Julius Thomas this offseason.
"We like Virgil a lot. He is a big part of what we do. He is kind of our rock. He was asked to do a lot of things (last season). He even played a little fullback. He does it all," Elway said. "He's very versatile and we would love to have him back."
The 6'5 255lb tight end is an excellent run blocker who has the athletic ability to be a weapon in the passing game. I believe he is an excellent fit in Gary Kubiak's offense that utilizes the tight end as a blocker and a receiver. With Owen Daniels heading to Denver to more than likely sign a deal with the Broncos, it appears the Broncos two starting tight ends will be Virgil Green and Owen Daniels.
