Owen Daniels is saying all the right things.
The newly signed Broncos tight end will not meet with the media at Dove Valley until 1 p.m. MT, but he has already made a good impression on fans through social media.
Daniels noted the orange and blue sunset in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening and used "Broncos Country" in a hashtag over the preposterous "Bronco Nation" (something even new coach Gary Kubiak has struggled with).
Daniels was also quick to change his Twitter bio.
Daniels's new profile says he will be "Mile Sigh saluting" this season.
The Mile High Salute, popularized by Terrell Davis in the 1990s, is much-loved by fans. Emmanuel Sanders quickly became a fan favorite in 2014 while saluting and adding a signature bow. Daniels is poised to become another fan favorite.
Daniels was ranked as Pro Football Focus's sixth-best tight end last season. After eight seasons with the Texans, Daniels played under Kubiak with the Ravens in 2014. He caught 48 passes for 527 yards and four scores.
With Peyton Manning as his new quarterback, Daniels's production should increase. More touchdowns will mean for saluting, and Broncos Country will love it.
