This deal will give the Broncos some immediate cap relief. The minimum tender for a restricted free agent is $1.59 million, which would have made him the highest-paid long snapper by nearly $500,000.
Brewer has been one of the more reliable long snappers in the NFL since he joining the Broncos in 2012. As a member of the Broncos' special teams, Brewer has played on every punt, field goal and extra point attempt snap in his three years in Denver.
This isn't a flashy re-signing, but it's an important one for the foundation of the special teams.
