According to CBS's NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, the sweepstakes for free agent tight end Virgil Green should come down to the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears.
Very nice market forming for Virgil Green. Should come down to the Bears and Broncos, though other teams also interested

It was reported over the weekend that Green was "weighing his options", and "six to eight teams" were seriously interested in Virgil Green. Now it appears that the two favorites for Green are the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears. Canfora does say that other teams are interested, but doesn't list who.
With former Denver Broncos head coach John Fox and former offensive coordinator Adam Gase now in Chicago, it makes sense that there would be mutual interest between the two. It would be curious for Green to sign with the Bears though. The Bears have tight end Martellus Bennett who caught 90 balls and 6 touchdowns this past season. Green would basically have the same role he had in Denver this past season if he signed with the Bears.
In Denver, you would assume that Green would at least compete to be the Broncos starter. He wouldn't have that chance in Chicago. The only other tight end the Broncos have been rumored to be interested in is former Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron.
With a "nice market forming" for Green, he could earn himself a better payday than originally expected. Hopefully, the Broncos are the ones to give Green the payday.
