Former coach showdowns

The Gary Kubiak Bowl will kick off the Broncos' season on CBS - it's the first time in Peyton Manning's Broncos tenure that the orange and blue won't kick off the season in prime time. Then in Week 11, the John Fox Bowl will occur as the Broncos head to Chicago to face their former coach.

Better bye week

Last year, the Broncos had a brutal Week Four bye. This year, it's a much nicer reprieve in Week 7. Broncos Country and Peyton Manning will take it.

Strength of schedule

The Broncos' strength of schedule for 2015 - not that it means a whole lot - is one of the NFL's toughest. Broncos opponents in 2015 had a win percentage of 0.541 in 2014, the ninth highest mark in the lead. The Broncos are set to face a tied-for-league-high 11 teams with at least nine wins last season.
