There's some late buzz surrounding Baylor quarterback, Bryce Petty. He has been considered a second round prospect throughout this entire process, but there's some late buzz that he might go in the late first round.
#NFLDraft buzz about Bryce Petty being late 1st-round pick as teams want 5th yr option, if #Broncos want him they'll have to take him at 28

The Broncos have been linked to Petty throughout this entire draft process, and it's starting to look like if they do want Petty, they will have to select him in the first round. This is because it is rumored that the New Orleans Saints who have pick 31 are seriously considering selecting Petty with their late first round pick.
Selecting Petty in the first round would be shocking. It will show that they do not believe in former second round pick Brock Osweiler and are moving forward with Bryce Petty as their quarterback of the future.
This also could be a bit of a smokescreen from General Manager John Elway. It's being widely reported that the Saints want Petty at 31, so the Broncos could be saying that they're interested so they can potentially work a trade with someone who wants Petty(Possibly the Buffalo Bills).
if #Broncos don't get Bryce Petty, then attention could turn to Garrett Grayson perhaps in the late 2nd...if he's on the board #NFLDraft

If the Broncos do decide to pass on Petty in the first round, ESPN's Denver Cecil Lammey believes the Broncos will turn their attention to CSU's Garrett Grayson.
The Broncos have been linked to Grayson all offseason, and a report in late March said that Grayson was a "favorite of the Broncos". So it's not a huge surprise that they continue to be linked to Grayson.
It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out in the next 24 to 48 hours. I do not think the Broncos will select Bryce Petty at 28, but will the Saints force their hand? I do think Grayson is a legit option for them in the second, and it wouldn't shock me to see them trade up for him.
I would much rather see the Broncos focus on their offensive line, defensive line and inside linebacker positions with their first two or three picks in this draft, but it's starting to look more and more likely that we may come away with a quarterback.
