Broncos waive receiver Matt Miller and guard Jon Halapio

The Broncos made a pair of roster moves today.

According to the Denver Broncos, they have waived undrafted rookie wide receiver Matt Miller, and guard Jon Halapio.

The 6'3", 213lb Miller was signed to the Broncos after going undrafted during last week's NFL Draft.

He was the Boise State Broncos' all-time record for career receptions with 244, gaining 3,049 yards (12.5 YPR) with 29 TDs. His senior season at Boise State was cut short by an ankle injury were tore multiple ligaments.

This leaves receivers Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Cody Latimer, Andre Caldwell, Jordan Norwood, Isaiah Burse, Nathan Palmer, Bennie Fowler, Kyle Williams, and rookie Jordan Taylor as the only receivers on the roster.

The Broncos also waived offensive lineman Jon Halapio.

Halapio was a seventh-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2014, but he didn't make the roster. He signed on to the Broncos practice squad back in December. He participated in the team's rookie minicamp this past weekend.

This leaves Louis Vasquez, Shelley Smith, Ben Garland, and rookie Max Garcia as the remaining guards on the roster.

After these two roster moves the Broncos roster currently stands at 86 players. The Broncos were expected to sign at least one of their tryout players that participated in this weekend's rookie minicamp. None of them have been signed at this time. I think we will see a few roster moves made here shortly.
