Broncos defender DeMarcus Ware named 87th-best player by NFL Network

After an eigth double-digit-sack season, Broncos defender DeMarcus Ware returned to the NFL's Top 100 list.

Broncos defender DeMarcus Ware ranked No. 87 in NFL Network's Top 100 series.

NFLN has revealed players 100 through 81, with two Broncos on it thus far (Emmanuel Sanders ranked No. 95). Eight Broncos made the list in 2014.

Ware is ranked behind Baltimore's Terrell Suggs (84) and above C.J. Mosley (94), another Raven. Ware ranked 56th last year.

In his first season with the Broncos and second season playing defensive end, Ware recorded 10 sacks. This season, he is expected to be moved to outside linebacker in Wade Phillip's 3-4 defense.

Ware, who will turn 34 this summer, has two years left on his contract with Denver. He'll earn a base salary of $7 million this season.

With seven sacks this season, Ware would pass Lawrence Taylor and move to 10th overall on the league's all-time sack list (134). He'll be joined by Von Miller and Shane Ray as Denver's key pass-rushers.

NFL Network's Top 100 series airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
