This is the second year in a row that the Broncos will be hosting their week three opponent for joint practices. Last season they hosted Gary Kubiak's former team the Houston Texans prior to their game.
These practices always lead to tension between the two teams. We all remember Peyton Manning being flagged and fined for taunting then Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger. According to Swearinger, Manning ran up to him after the touchdown and said "F you,". Manning believed that Swearinger delivered a cheap shot to receiver Wes Welker.
The 49ers are a team in flux, but still will give the Broncos some good competition prior to the season. Quarterback Collin Kaepernick will give the Broncos defense their first look at a mobile quarterback this year. Also, edge rusher Aldon Smith will test tackles Ryan Clady, Michael Schofield, Chris Clark and rookie Ty Sambrailo.
Fans will not be able to watch these joint practices because Training Camp will be over at that point in time.
