Josh Snead is a 5'9", 190lb running back from Duke University. He played four seasons at Duke and put up some good numbers. During his four-year career, he totaled 1,769 yards rushing on 332 carries(5.3 YPC), and 7 touchdowns. He also added 28 receptions for 167 yards and two touchdowns. His best season came in 2013 when he totaled 651 yards rushing(6.1 YPC), and two touchdowns. He also caught 6 balls for 29 yards and 1 touchdown. Josh Snead was also selected as a three-time Academic All-ACC selection while at Duke.
If signed, Snead will be competing with former teammate Juwan Thompson, Kapri Bibbs, veteran Jeremy Stewart, Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball to make the Broncos roster at running back. Snead also will be competing for the kick return job for the Broncos.
If Snead makes the team, this will be the second year in a row where a college free agent running back from Duke signs with the Broncos. Last season they signed running back Juwan Thompson who was the Broncos best running back during the preseason and totaled 272 yards rushing(5.0 YPC) and 3 touchdowns.
