Broncos general manager John Elway is among the most influential people in the NFL, according to Sports Illustrated's MMQB publication.

Elway ranked No. 91 in SI's list of Top 100 influential people entering the 2015 NFL season. SI revealed rankings 100-91 on Tuesday.

The Hall of Fame quarterback has been phenomenal in his five seasons heading Denver’s football operations. A big part of that success stems from having convinced another Hall of Fame QB—we feel safe saying Canton is in Peyton Manning’s future—to come aboard.

Landing Manning in free agency has arguably been Elway's biggest splash in Denver to date. Manning signed a five-year, $96 million deal with Denver in 2012.

During Manning's first three seasons in Denver, the Broncos have gone 38-10, winning the AFC West all three years. They reached the Super Bowl during the 2013 season, though the outcome was one they hope to forget.

But Manning's not all Elway has accomplished.

Elway landed guard Louis Vasquez for a big bargain in 2013, and the team re-signed cornerback Chris Harris Jr. to an incredibly team-friendly contract in December. Those are just two examples of many.

The Broncos are in good hands with Elway leading the charge.
