The Broncos received some good news today. Defensive end Kenny Anunike is only expected to miss two to three weeks, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

If Anunike doesn't have any setbacks, he could be available week one for the Broncos. Their first game is Sunday, Sept. 13 against the Baltimore Ravens. That game is currently 24 days away, so that will be something to keep an eye on going forward.
Anunike suffered some swelling in his knee after Friday's victory against the Seattle Seahawks. He sat out practice all week before undergoing a scope to see the extent of the injury. Thankfully for the Broncos and Anunike, the second-year player avoided a serious injury and missing six or more weeks.
He's coming off another solid showing in Training Camp and an impressive performance against the Seahawks during last weekend's first preseason game. His roster spot shouldn't be in any danger, and I expect him to be a reserve defensive end for the Broncos this season.
