Live Blog - Monday Night Football Doubleheader

It's the first week of the season, so the NFL is going to do their best to cram as much football into a two day period as possible. I'm okay with that, except I'll be at work for part of this first game. /sadface

It's a new year and the Atlanta Falcons have a new head coach. They are on no one's radar, but they should be. The Falcons have played well under their talent level for years under Mike Smith, but that all changes under Dan Quinn. The Philadelphia Eagles are going to find out the hard way on national television.

Also, the Eagles hype machine is annoying. Their quarterback is Sam Bradford, so I think we know how high their ceiling is. Plus, they are one knee injury away from Mark Sanchez throwing interceptions for them. If you haven't noticed, I don't think the Eagles are going to live up to their hype in 2015.

Prediction: Falcons 31, Eagles 28

The San Francisco 49ers are a dumpster fire of an organization, but that doesn't mean they won't win a few games this year. Monday Night Football tends to fire up the home teams, so I'm going to go with the home team again in this one. The Minnesota Vikings have the makings of a playoff team, but not tonight. The 49ers defense is going to step it up a notch.

If I'm right then the 10-6 team will lose tonight and the 6-10 team will win. That's the NFL, baby. Then again, the raging dumpster fire could very well be one so epic, so unique in NFL annals, that it consumes everything and everyone in the organization to an 0-16 season. We'll just have to see.

Prediction: 49ers 18, Vikings 17
