Broncos-Chiefs odds have Kansas City favored

Despite a 6-0 record since 2012, Peyton Manning and the Broncos are 3-point underdogs at Arrowhead this Thursday.

The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs are both 1-0 entering their Week 2 matchup on Thursday Night Football, but it's the Chiefs who are favored by 3 points according to the latest NFL odds.

The Broncos will practice Monday night and Tuesday night this week before leaving for Kansas City on Wednesday.

"It's really difficult, first off, to come off an afternoon game and play on Thursday," said Broncos coach Gary Kubiak Monday. "There's not much you can do other than mentally get prepared, really. Physically, you've just got to get them as fresh as you can. What I'm trying to do is let them sleep in a couple days, get rested, trying to get their clocks ticking at the time we're going to be played and then we'll get our work done in the evening tonight, tomorrow and of course we leave on Wednesday. [I am] just trying to keep them as close to the routine that they're going to be following going into game day."

"It's just a quick turnaround," safety Omar Bolden said Monday. "Everybody in the league faces these challenges. Luckily for us, we face it early on in the season. We talk about it like we have the advantage."

Peyton Manning is 6-0 against the Chiefs in a Broncos uniform. Former head coach John Fox was 12-0 against the AFC West on the road as Broncos head coach. The pressure is on Manning and Kubiak to keep Denver's winning streaks alive Thursday, despite the odds.
