Arrowhead Stadium has historically been a nightmarish place to play for the Denver Broncos and a source of eternal pride for the Kansas City Chiefs, but then Peyton Manning came to town. Manning has torn the still beating hearts from Chiefs fans chests several times over his career, most notably the 2003 and 2007 playoffs.
Manning enters this game with a perfect 6-0 record against his now division rival Chiefs, but never has he seemed more vulnerable or human than he does right now. Chiefs fans smell blood in the water and can almost taste victory. Will Manning again crush their hopes and dreams?
He might get the credit if it happens, but it could be the Broncos new Orange Crush defense that seals the deal for him. This defense is so good that Peter King thinks the Broncos are the best team in football. Even now, the Broncos are considered one of the most powerful teams in the NFL by numberFire. It's that defense that has all of Broncos Country giddy beyond belief.
Historically, Peyton Manning plays lights out football after a dismal zero touchdown offensive performance. I believe I read somewhere that his offense has never scored less than 33 points the game after such an awful outing.
Therefore, I must conclude that his streak continues and Chiefs fans everywhere cry tears of sorrow once again in 2015.
Prediction: Broncos 34, Chiefs 19.
