Free agent running back Montee Ball said he will sign with the Colts sometime soon, according to Will Petersen of MileHighSports.com.

Ball, 24, was waived by the Broncos Sept. 6. He cleared waivers and has since been a free agent.
Ball tweeted "wheels up" yesterday, perhaps suggesting a flight.

Originally drafted by Denver in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Ball went on to lose starting jobs to Knowshon Moreno and C.J. Anderson. His two-year stint with the Broncos was marred by injuries, as he only dressed for 21 games (starting three).
Ball rushed 175 for 731 yards and five scores during his time in Denver.
Frank Gore is currently the Colts' starting running back, followed by Josh Robinson and Tyler Varga. Gore, 32, rushed 8 times for 31 yards in Week 1. The Colts as a team rushed 17 times for 64 yards, the fourth-worst total in the league a week ago.
The Broncos, meanwhile, have been splitting carries between Anderson and Ronnie Hillman. Anderson has rushed 24 times for 56 yards and Hillman has rushed 21 times for 75 yards.
The Broncos will play the Colts on the road in Week 9, Nov. 8.
