C.J. Anderson injury: Broncos running back clear concussion protocol

The Broncos starting running back took a ding in his own redzone and is currently being evaluated for a concussion.

UPDATE:

Story:

C.J. Anderson followed up his best run of the night (a four yard run up the middle) with another run up the middle. The second of the drive did not end well as Anderson stopped in his tracks by Detroit Lions defensive end Darryl Tapp:

Anderson is currently being evaluated for a concussion.

Ronnie Hillman will replace Anderson at least temporarily with running back Juwan Thompson also on the active roster.

Anderson had 3 carries for 5 yards and one reception for 9 yards when he went to the locker room.

We will keep you updated as we receive word, one thing to keep in mind is that if Anderson is suspected of having a concussion he will not be allowed back in the game.
