MHR Review: Game Preview • Extend Brock? • Roster Projection • Roster Cuts • RB Drama |
The final preseason game is a snooze fest for most fans, but its the best look any of us hardcore fans will get of the back end of our teams roster. From quarterback development to depth at key positions, we at least get to see what these players would bring playing for sixty full minutes.
Tonight, I'm watching Brock Osweiler. For the first time in his career, he has impressed me throughout an entire preseason. Impressed me enough to think that maybe John Elway found his Plan B at quarterback. We should see him play through to halftime tonight.
If not, Trevor Siemian also impressed me throughout this entire preseason. I think he brings a lot more potential to the table than Zac Dysert ever did, so I'm anxious to continue watching him develop.
Outside of quarterbacks, the show tonight will be between Montee Ball and Kapri Bibbs. Ball has a huge edge for that final roster spot at running back, so Bibbs is going to have be lightning on the field tonight if he has any hope of making the final roster cut. Speaking of which, teams must cut their roster down to 53 by 4pm EST on Saturday, September 5th.
Prediction: Broncos 34, Cardinals 17.
