The Denver Broncos sat by quietly all day Friday as many NFL teams began cutting players from their roster early. John Elway could have been standing pat as he looked for a way to trade Montee Ball before the deadline. It feels like he would rather not keep Montee Ball on the roster, but may avoid cutting him in order to get something for the former second round draft pick next week.
Must Reads
That hurts a bit, since that will require Elway to cut a more worthy player to get the Broncos down to the final 53 today. That player could be coming from the deep and talent-filled defensive side of the ball. That possibility doesn't sit well with me personally, but I understand why it might happen.

Kapri Bibbs released. I'm sure Broncos would practice squad him if not snatched up. This assures Montee Ball makes the team, for now.
