Earlier in the week, Denver Broncos safety Darian Stewart vowed payback on Pittsburgh Steelers center Cody Wallace. As we all know, Wallace dived head first into safety David Bruton's head the last time these two teams played back in week 15.
Steelers' OL says league should look at Broncos' "bounty" https://t.co/vXvuc7NdIc
— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) January 14, 2016
Stewart told reporters that he would "cut" Wallace if he comes Stewart's way on Sunday.
"It’s not going to be anything as far as cheap or anything," Stewart said. "We’re going to get him between the lines, between the whistles. He’s going to be sore after the game, that’s how I see it. He comes out on a screen, he better not come at me. I’m cutting him. That’s where I’m at with it. You got me mad right now just thinking about it."
Well, word got of this got to the Pittsburgh Steelers and offensive lineman Ramon Foster wants the NFL to keep an eye on the Broncos because he believes they put a "bounty" on Wallace.
"You put that kind of stuff out there, that just gives you a bigger bull's eye," Foster said. "Those guys, that's their problem. Hopefully the refs will be looking at that. The league needs to look at that because that's making a bounty. So, you want to talk about safety? Address that. Take a stand on that. They made a bounty on a guy who hadn't done anything to him."
Bounty is an ugly word in the NFL after the New Orleans Saints paid players for going out and deliberately hurting the opposing teams players. This isn't what is happening here. Either Foster doesn't understand what a bounty really is, or he is just trying to stir up emotions by using that word.
Stewart already said "It’s not going to be anything as far as cheap or anything,", and he hasn't proven to be a dirty player during his time with the Broncos or during his career. This was simply players sticking up for their own, and seeking revenge on a player who did something to one of their own. This shows solidarity in the Broncos locker room, and shows how well liked Bruton is amongst his teammates.
Wallace has proven to be a bit on the dirty side during his short career. He has three personal foul penalties this season, he was fined for his hit on Bruton, and he uh....got a little grabby with a Dolphins player a few years back.
I'd expect the league and it's officials to keep a close eye on this matchup because of this and what happened the last time the Pittsburgh Steelers played an NFL Football game. One coach grabbed a players hair and pushed him, another was on the field cursing at Bengals players, and there other dirty plays by them as well.

Peyton Manning’s eight postseasons with a 90 passer rating is the NFL’s best | Broncos Wire
All the talk about Peyton Manning being a poor postseason player are bogus. At least, if you put any stock into passer rating. Dating back to 1973, passer rating has been the definitive way in which to judge a quarterback's performance on the field. At least, in a numerical value.
