The Denver Broncos are preparing to play the San Diego Chargers and by all reports it will be Trevor Siemian starting after a terrible outing against the Atlanta Falcons by Paxton Lynch.
Brandon Perna of That's Good Broncos talks about Lynch and whether or not he is a good NFL quarterback after one bad game. I tend to disagree that Lynch ha accuracy issues as he wasn't inaccurate against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When the pressure is getting there over 50% of the time as it was on Sunday, a quarterback is going to start missing throws.
Don't believe me? Go look at some of Cam Newton's throws in the Super Bowl. Still, some here on Mile High Report took major heat for being critical of Siemian after one NFL start, so I guess we shouldn't be overly critical of Lynch after one start either. But yeah, he sucked on Sunday.
That said, I do agree that Siemian has to be the guy until he is either the reincarnation of Tom Brady as suggested by some or he is just another quarterback as suggested by me. For now, he is exactly the quarterback the Broncos need to be competitive on offense. I can be happy with that.
