The story all week has been whether or not quarterback Trevor Siemian will start at quarterback for the Dever Broncos. He injured his shoulder in week four against the Tampa Bay Bucs and sat out week five against the Atlanta Falcons despite reports stating he looked good and could go. Entering a short week, Siemian remained limited throughout practice and once again is listed as questionable for tomorrow night's game. All signs seem to point to Siemian starting, but it seemed like that would be the case last week, so we will need to wait until it's officially announced.
The only other plays listed on the injury report are linebacker DeMarcus Ware who is listed as out, and cornerback/special teamer Kayvon Webster who is listed as questionable.
This means that right tackle Donald Stephenson and tight end Virgil Green will return to the field after sitting out multiple weeks.
That means RT Donald Stephenson and TE Virgil Green are playing for first time since their calf injuries in week 2 Indy game. #9sports— Mike Klis (@MikeKlis) October 12, 2016
This should/hopefully improve the Broncos run game and pass protection Thursday night against the Chargers. Since both have been out, the Broncos have struggled running the ball and protecting the quarterback. Second-year tackle Ty Sambrailo is bringing back flashbacks of Michael Schofield's 2015 struggles at right tackle, and Virgil Green is an improvement over Jon Phillips and Jeff Heuerman.
Otherwise, the Broncos look pretty healthy heading into tomorrow night's game.
As for the Chargers, safety Jahleel Addae and corner Brandon Flowers have been ruled out for tomorrow night's game. They have a total of six players listed as questionable, and three of them are offensive lineman. The Chargers enter this game rather banged up, so the Broncos should take advantage of this.
