The big news from today's practice was the absence of running back C.J. Anderson. He suffered an unknown knee injury during Monday Night's victory over the Houston Texans and sat out today's practice because he was seeking a second opinion on the injury.
Despite finishing the game and leading the Broncos in rush yards, Anderson is expected to miss "at least" two weeks because of this injury. Reports out there indicate this injury could end up being season-ending, but we won't know until sometime tomorrow to exact injury and timetable for Anderson.
Rookie Devontae Booker will get the start and play significant snaps if/when Anderson misses time due to this injury.
The other noteworthy injury is to starting Inside Linebacker Brandon Marshall. He suffered a hamstring injury during Monday Night's game and faces long odds to play this weekend. His status will be an interesting one to watch this week.
Veteran Matt Paradis, Aqib Talib, and Sylvester Williams are likely dealing with minor injuries and were given the day off on a short week. I believe all three will return to practice in some sort of fashion on Thursday.
Veteran edge rusher DeMarcus Ware returned to practice for the first time since suffering a broken forearm during the Broncos week two matchup against the Colts. Kubiak indicated that he has a "shot to play" this weekend, but I do not expect the Broncos to rush their valuable pass rusher back.
