The Denver Broncos (5-2) will host one of just two afternoon games in Week 8 when they take on the San Diego Chargers (3-4). The game will air on CBS and if you see BLUE in the map above, you will be one of the fortunate souls to get the game on your local CBS station.

(Not shown: Alaska and Hawaii will not get the Broncos game.)

Kickoff is at 2:05 p.m. Mile High time and will air on KCNC-TV (CBS 4) locally with Grego Gumbel (play-by-play), Trent Green (color analyst) and Jamie Erdahl (sideline reporting) covering the game.

The Broncos are coming off a loss to the Chargers just two weeks ago, but got back to their winning ways with a convincing win over the Houston Texans last Monday night. San Diego is under .500, but has won two straight and has been in nearly every game this year. Denver will need to play them hard to even the score this Sunday.

“They played in one-score games all year long, even the games that they’ve been beat,” Head coach Gary Kubiak said of San Diego on Wednesday, “They have some interesting stats. I think they’ve held the lead more than anybody in this league right now. They’ve just lost some games late, but played really well. They obviously got after us and went to Atlanta and beat a really good football team on the road. They’re playing well. [San Diego QB] Philip [Rivers] is playing well. Defensively, they’re very active. [DE Joey] Bosa is playing a big part right now so we’ll have to play a lot better than we did a couple of weeks ago, I know that.”

The Broncos players were asleep at the wheel in their last matchup, but you can be certain the loss woke them all up. It should be a fun game to watch.
