The Denver Broncos announced earlier today that they have made a pair of roster moves prior to tomorrow's divisional matchup against the San Diego Chargers.

The Broncos officially placed running back C.J. Anderson on the season-ending injured reserve and signed veteran running back/fullback Juwan Thompson off their Practice Squad.
Thompson was surprisingly waived by the Broncos this summer after he was beat out by Kapri Bibbs and Andy Janovich for a roster spot. Thankfully for the Broncos, Thompson went unclaimed and the Broncos added him to their Practice Squad as depth for the running back and the fullback position.
Kubiak commented on his versatility after Friday's practice.
"That’s what he does and the thing about Juwan is he kind of plays two spots. Through his history he’s played some halfback and he’s played well. We’ve been having him work at fullback, so obviously he’s been working really, really hard here"
With starting running back C.J. Anderson heading to the injured reserve after having surgery on a meniscus injury, Thompson will serve as the Broncos third string running back, backup fullback, and contribute on Special Teams.
While Thompson has bounced on and off the roster recently, he is now the most experienced back on the team. He has more career carries(72) than rookie Devontae Booker and backup Kapri Bibbs have combined.
In two seasons in the NFL, Thompson has totaled 72 carries for 320 yards(4.4 yards per carry) and 3 touchdowns. He also has 4 receptions for 25 yards as well.
I expect to see Thompson active and on the field for the Broncos tomorrow when they take on the San Diego Chargers.
