The Denver Broncos needed a miracle to keep pace with the rest of the AFC West, but the win put them just a half game back from the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots continues to be the team at the top of the rock in 2016 despite slipping to the number two seed with their loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The AFC playoff picture is becoming much more clear now, with four teams a cut above the rest.
AFC Playoff Seeding - Week 10
- Kansas City Chiefs (7-2)
- New England Patriots (7-2)
- Houston Texans (6-3)
- Baltimore Ravens (5-4)
- Oakland Raiders (7-2)
- Denver Broncos (7-3)
The only other team in the AFC above .500 is the Miami Dolphins. Even the Pittsburgh Steelers are below .500 right now with just six games to go. This gives the Broncos commanding lead in the race to the playoffs, but they have a brutal final six games.
Bring on the Bye!
