The Denver Broncos are getting a bit dinged up, which makes sense given they have a Bye week so late in the year. To compensate, Gary Kubiak is giving some gets that extra rest they need.
“Did not practice today: [CB] Kayvon [Webster], [CB] Aqib [Talib], [CB] Chris Harris [Jr.], [S] T.J. Ward and [S Darian] Stewart,” Kubiak reported, “[C Matt] Paradis did not practice either. Limited was [ILB] Brandon Marshall and [RB] Devontae Booker. Full participants were ‘Shaq’ [OLB Shaquil Barrett], [FB Andy] Janovich, [OLB] DeMarcus [Ware], ‘Sly’ [NT Sylvester Williams] and [QB] Trevor [Siemian]. Another thing too, it was a rest day for three of them and Aqib’s back is still sore.”
If you are worried about either Aqib Talib or Brandon Marshall, Kubiak felt confident they would both be ready to play against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
“It looks that way,” Kubiak said of the two start defenders game statuses, “Brandon had a good day today. Brandon did more than Aqib today, so we’ll take it day-by-day and see where we’re at.”
Meanwhile, the Raiders look like they will be without cornerback Sean Smith. That should give Trevor Siemian some extra confidence throwing the football. Amari Cooper was also limited by a back injury, but it is unlikely he’ll miss time.
