Fans in Mexico City are excited and packing the Estadio Azteca to watch the Oakland Raiders (7-2) and Houston Texans (6-3) on Monday Night Football. Both teams are embroiled in the hunt for AFC homefield advantage.
The Raiders are looking to keep pace with the New England Patriots for the top spot, while the Texans could slide into the number two seed with a win over the Raiders tonight. The hold the tiebreaker with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Texans, however, are likely the biggest fraud of the playoff contenders right now as the only team with a negative net points number. The -27 ratio is tied for the fourth worst in the conference. By comparison, the Denver Broncos are second behind the Patriots with a +50 net points ratio.
Still, it sure would be nice to see the Texans steal one here. It would help the Broncos out in a big way. Come on Brock Osweiler! Brock out like its late 2015 and you are playing the Patriots again.
Prediction: Raiders 23, Texans 16
