NFL Football on Thanksgiving Day - Live Blog

Happy Thanksgiving! Nothing makes me feel like its turkey day than having NFL football playing in the background.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Thanksgiving Day is the one day that it doesn’t feel like overkill to have the NFL on a Thursday. Having three games today is perfect. Two of the three games look like blockbuster matchups, while the third not so much.

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions

The Vikings were on the ropes after a four game losing streak, but they were able to come out and get back to their winning ways with a win over the Arizona Cardinals last week. The Lions are on the opposite kind of streak, winning five of six after a 1-3 start.

The winner of this game will take control of the NFC North, so expect a playoff atmosphere from both teams.

Prediction: Lions 20, Vikings 17

Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys

The second best division in football behind the AFC West would be the NFC East. The Redskins are in third place with a 6-3-1 record, while the Cowboys are tearing through the NFL with a 9-1 record and an NFL-best nine game winning streak.

The Cowboys got the best of the Redskins earlier in the season, with a late fourth quarter go-ahead touchdown from Alfred Morris. The two teams play each other tough, so expect a really good game.

Prediction: Redskins 27, Cowboys 24

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts

This could have been a premier matchup, but then Andrew Luck got himself a concussion. We all know how well the Colts do looking for backup quarterbacks. It could get terribad for them today.

The Steelers on the other hand went from Super Bowl favorites to a .500 football team. They need this win badly to get back into the thick of the AFC playoff race. They are better than the Baltimore Ravens, but they need to start winning some football games here.

Prediction: Steelers 34, Colts 13
