The phrase “catching them at the right time” could not have more meaning this week as the Denver Broncos are at nearly full strength with only longsnapper Casey Kreiter ruled out for Sunday nights game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“We signed Gafford today,” head coach Gary Kubiak said of signing Thomas Gafford to sub for Kreiter this week. “He’s been in the league for a few years. Joe [DeCamillis] knows him. He’s bounced around a few teams, so there’s a lot of work to do catching him up today. He did a good job. He’ll make up some more ground tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, the Chiefs will be without Dee Ford, Jeremy Maclin and Jaye Howard. They have five other players who are questionable, including Dontari Poe and Marcus Peters.
