The Denver Broncos are now the seventh seed in the AFC, with the Miami Dolphins taking their spot in the playoff seeding.

After a crushing overtime defeat at home, the Denver Broncos are reeling. Not only are they out of the playoffs right now, they are also 1-3 in the AFC West with losses to both the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.

It certainly looks bleak.

AFC Playoff Picture

  1. New England Patriots (9-2)
  2. Oakland Raiders (9-2)
  3. Baltimore Ravens (6-5)
  4. Houston Texans (6-5)
  5. Kansas City Chiefs (8-3)
  6. Miami Dolphins (7-4)

The Broncos are the seventh seed at 7-4, but that could change in a hurry with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills at 6-5 and knocking on that door now.

There isn’t much the Broncos can do to light a fire either. The problems are across the board and Trevor Siemian’s big game only masked them a little. To outgain your opponent by nearly 200 yards and still lose in over time? That’s rough.

The defense will get the blame for this loss, but overall they did a better job than the Chiefs defense did. That’s just how football goes sometimes.

It’s win every game now for the Broncos.

There are some silver linings that could have the Broncos right back in it over the next two games.
