Vontarrius Dora signed from practice squad as Broncos put Casey Kreiter on IR

It’s about time the team drop from two long snappers and add some depth to the defense.

It’s about time.

After keeping two long snappers on the roster several weeks while starter Casey Kreiter nursed an injury, the Broncos announced today they have placed Kreiter on injured reserve and activated outside linebacker Vontarrius Dora from the practice squad.

Dora, an undrafted rookie out of Louisiana Tech, was a fan favorite during the preseason where he totaled 10 tackles (8 solo), two sacks (22 yards) and one forced fumble during the 2016 preseason.

The 6-foot-4, 256-pound linebacker was a four-year starter at LaTech as a defensive end, totaling 147 tackles (64 solo), 13.5 sacks (106 yards), two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The Mississippi native was named Honorable Mention All-Conference USA as a senior after finishing with 48 tackles (31 solo), six sacks (51 yards) and two forced fumbles.

Although Broncos have great depth at outside linebacker, perhaps this signals some NASCAR packages coming against Tom Brady and the Patriots this weekend???
