Denver Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak confirmed this afternoon that starting inside linebacker Brandon Marshall would miss his second straight game due to a hamstring injury. Also, the Broncos other starting inside linebacker Todd Davis is listed as questionable with a rib cage injury that he suffered during last weekend's loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Look for Corey Nelson to get the start in place of Marshall, and if Davis cannot go or is limited on Sunday, Zaire Anderson would play in his place.
The Patriots figure to pound running back LeGarrette Blount a bunch on Sunday, so once again Nelson, Davis, and Anderson will need to come up big this weekend if the Broncos want to come away with the win.
The other injury news today was the Broncos placing long snapper Casey Kreiter on the season-ending injured reserve. He had a calf injury and was not responding as well as the Broncos as hoped, so they decided to end his season today. Veteran Thomas Gafford will be the Broncos long snapper for the remainder of the season.
Center Matt Paradis continued his trend of putting in a full practice on the Friday before the game. His status was never in doubt and he will be out there to anchor the Broncos offensive line.
As for the Patriots, they officially ruled out wide receiver Danny Amendola for Sunday's game.
