They often say first impressions are everything. Imagine how Justin Forsett still feels after last Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Billed as the savior of the Denver Broncos running game, the veteran running back gets his first chance, puts up a very nice run and ... egads, he fumbles. Well, so much for that. The Broncos are still screwed when it comes to the running game. Until you see it was the first fumble Forsett has lost since 2009. Still, first impressions.
Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro from The Afternoon Drive caught up with Forsett this week to talk about the state of Denver’s running game heading into this weekend’s big rivalry showdown with the New England Patriots.
“My initial reaction was, ‘I can’t believe I lost it,” Forsett said. “And the next thought was, ‘OK, how are you going to respond?’ Just respond the best way you can. Those things happen you just can’t let it define and let it refine you and make you better.”
