New, comments

Von Miller, Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr. are only Denver Broncos selected to the 2017 Pro Bowl. Though they do have six alternates.

Despite coming off one of the most historic Super Bowl runs in modern history, the Denver Broncos defense will have just three players on the 2017 Pro Bowl roster. Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr., and Aqib Talib all made the cut.

Miller leads the Broncos and ranks second in the NFL with 13.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Harris has totaled 58 tackles, two interceptions, 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In 11 starts, Talib leads the team with three interceptions for 86 yds and a touchdown. He also has 12 passes defensed in addition to 35 tackles.

All three were obvious choices. Miller is in the Defensive MVP discussion and Talib and Harris are ranked number one and two cornerbacks in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

The one major snub would be center Matt Paradis, who is consistently the only offensive player on the team that puts in solid performance after solid performance. We’ll call him a victim of the completely inept offense in Denver.

Paradis was among six alternates. Teammates Emmanuel Sanders, Darian Stewart, Demaryius Thomas, T.J. Ward and Derek Wolfe also made the list of alternates.

The Pro Bowl this year will take place on January 29, 2017 8pm ET, ESPN, in Orlando. Congrats to those selected!
