Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus releases a piece each week that includes 10 of the worst performances of the past weekend of NFL play. Well this week, Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian made the list after his miserable performance last night against the division rival Kansas City Chiefs.
Siemian finished the night 17 for 43 for 183 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Siemian completed just under 40% of his passes and finished the night with a 43.6 quarterback rating. It was an ugly night for the Broncos quarterback on a night they were supposed to be fighting for their playoff lives.
Here is Monson's reasoning for including Siemian on this list.
7. Trevor Siemian, QB, Denver Broncos
Denver doesn’t need Trevor Siemian to be good in order to be successful, but they need him to be a lot better than he was this week against Kansas City. Siemian only threw one interception, but that was due very little to good decision-making, and a lot to rainy conditions making it tough for Chiefs defenders to bring in passes repeatedly thrown their way. Siemian had three dropped interceptions in the game, and despite that break, ended up with a passer rating of just 43.6.
As Monson notes, the night could have been worse for Siemian and the Broncos if the Chiefs defenders did not drop a few catchable interceptions(Really the story for Siemian's season).
It was just ugly.
Kansas City Chiefs nose tackle Dontari Poe finished the night with one more touchdown pass than Trevor Siemian. Hell, in the last three games, nose tackle Dontari Poe has as many touchdown passes as quarterback Trevor Siemian.
It has been an ugly month of December for the Broncos starting quarterback. He finishes the month of December 0-3 with 1 touchdown pass and 2 interceptions.

With this game likely being Siemian's last start of 2015, he finishes with 3,195 yards passing, 16 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. After starting the season 6-1 as the Broncos starting quarterback, he finished the season 1-5 as the Broncos starting quarterback.
The Broncos search for an heir apparent to Peyton Manning remains unanswered heading into the offseason.
